A close-up Hello Kitty face can work particularly well because Discord displays profile images at relatively small sizes in many parts of the interface. If you want your PFP to remain recognizable, avoid selecting an image where the character occupies only a tiny portion of the canvas. Instead, choose a centered composition where the face or upper body is clearly Cute PFP. You can also select a square image with enough empty space around the character so that circular cropping does not cut off important details.
