  Is it worth switching to reusable containers instead of single-use?

  I know this is probably a debate that’s been had a million times on here, but I’m really trying to do a proper cost-benefit analysis and I’d love to hear from people who’ve actually made the switch and can share their real-world experience. Right now we’re going through an embarrassing amount of single-use plastic bags and liners in our production facility, and aside from the environmental guilt, the ongoing cost of constantly buying disposables is starting to eat into our margins in a way that’s becoming hard to ignore. I came across some interesting reading about plastic packaging HACCP compliance that actually touched on the advantages of reusable systems from a food safety perspective, which I hadn’t really considered before because I always assumed disposable was automatically cleaner and safer.
