Aventador carbon ceramic brake squeal driving me insane, any fix?
I’ve had my 2015 Aventador for just over a year now and I absolutely adore the thing except for one small detail that’s slowly chipping away at my sanity every single time I pull up to a red light anywhere near Downtown Dubai and that’s the ear piercing squeal from the front ceramics when they’re cold which I know is supposedly normal for this compound but it’s gotten to the point where valets actually wince when I arrive and I’ve tried every trick in the book from hard braking sessions on empty stretches of Al Qudra Road to just living with the embarrassment and pretending I can’t hear it, a friend of mine with a Huracan mentioned he had his pads swapped for a different compound that quieted things down dramatically without sacrificing the insane bite these cars are known for but I’m genuinely terrified of letting just any shop touch the carbon rotors because I’ve heard stories of people cracking them during a simple pad change from not using the right procedure, I was doing some late night research trying to see if there was a local solution that wouldn’t involve shipping the car back to Sant’Agata and I stumbled across this page http://brakepadreplacementdubai.ae/brands/lamborghini-brake-pad-replacement/ that at least gave me a bit of hope that there are people here who understand these specific systems, so I guess my question is whether anyone with an older Aventador or even a Murcielago has successfully quieted down their ceramics without losing that initial cold bite or am I just doomed to sound like a city bus for the first ten minutes of every drive until the pads get some heat into them.
