Test drove a 2018 Navigator Reserve and now I can’t figure out if that slight shudder is just the 10 speed transmission being quirky or something worse

I’ve been on the hunt for a used full size luxury SUV that won’t make me feel like I’m driving a school bus every time I have to navigate a tight parking garage at Dubai Mall and the Navigator honestly seems like the sweet spot between being super comfortable and not having that German maintenance anxiety that keeps me up at night, so I went and looked at a 2018 Reserve over in Jumeirah Village Circle that had the perfect blue exterior and those massive 22 inch wheels. The test drive was mostly smooth except when I was creeping along in traffic on Hessa Street the transmission had this very faint shudder when shifting between second and third gears, not a violent jolt or anything just a little vibration you’d probably miss if you had the radio up loud, and the seller who was a really nice Filipino family man said it’s just the nature of the Ford 10 speed and that it’s been like that since he bought it two years ago. I’m not entirely convinced though because I had a friend with an F150 who ended up needing a whole new transmission at 60k kilometers for a similar issue and I really don’t want to be that guy who buys a used Lincoln only to find out the adaptive learning needs to be reset or the valve body is on its way out. I’ve been poking around online and saw a few suggestions that Lincoln Pre Purchase Inspection Experts Dubai can actually hook up their diagnostic tools and look at the transmission adaptive tables and shift times to see if it’s a simple software flash or a sign of actual mechanical wear, which sounds like exactly the kind of peace of mind I need before writing a pretty hefty cheque. Anyone else here own one of these newer Navigators with the 10 speed and have any insight on whether that little shudder is just part of the ownership experience or if I should run away and find one that shifts like butter from the factory.
